Subject: Killer Show

Lots of great musicians sit it in, great sound, and intimate show and Telluride Bluegrass Festival! What more could you ask for? The highlight of the night for me was the unplugged encore. I don't really know anything about that song, but tons of musicians on stage killing it while the crowd was silent as could be. A rare and special moment I will never forget, as that was the only time Yonder performed this song. I guess it was too special to do justice on a recording anyway, so maybe it is for the best it didn't make it onto this soundboard recording. Thanks Yonder! Thinking of you, Jeff.

There really should be a "taper appreciation day" for all the hard work and dedication these folks exhibit. Please don't bitch about the tapers until you start taping shows. In the meantime, I will enjoy these fantastic-sounding shows. Thanks tapers.

Nickel, How can you bitch about the encore on this show? Phil has invested a shitload of money and time in bringing strangers like us unlimited kickass shows. The band does an encore w/out mics (out of Phil's hands) and you badger him about it. I think you're the dumb drunk. If you don't want to d'l it don't. Quit bitchin' or tape it yourself. best yonder at the sheridan show ever... you could hear the encore just perfectly from the front of the stage-- i didn't even notice the drunk and loud people, but i was in the tripper's section. and just to note, it was very beautiful-- at some point while they were playing, everything just shifted and it was like being around a campfire picking circle; really moving. of course it wouldn't have come through the soundboard, so no recording, but you can't really record those acousitc numbers anyway, because of all the hooting drunk people, etc-- thanks phil for posting this show so quickly. insane, insane, insane... the jams were unbelievable, drew is a freak of nature, austin pretty fine himself, although when he shut jeff coffin down when he was REALLY, really shining you could see that jeff's got an ego just like every other rock n' roller-- which was a bit disappointing to witness, but so it goes. a fantastic show. epic playing. outrageous evening, the best night of telluride...

Subject: Better than being there

I was one of the fortunate 325 people to see this show. I know I wasn't sober, but damn, this is better sound quality than being there! I was in the first row of the balcony. This show started after 11pm, part of Nightgrass, Telluride Bluegrass Festival in it's 34th year. But, this show was anything but bluegrass, it was a rockin show to burn the house down. High energy to say the least. Also, it was Ben's birthday and he wore a kilt.
PS: You're not missing anything in the encore, people were so drunk and loud there wasn't more than 30 seconds without someone making noise.

Phil my man, the concerts have been unbelievable. But I must ask where is the Big Top show in Wisconsin from 6/14??? That show kicked some ass! Great concert! fucking yonder man, can't wait to see them the 26 of july for free!
